Strato, Inc. has ranked No. 71 on business journal NJBIZ’s 2020 list of Top 250 Privately Held Companies in New Jersey.

Up 11 spots from the 2019 list, Piscataway, N.J.-based Strato joins statewide manufacturers, accounting and law firms, wholesalers and distributors, high-tech corporations, health care organizations, and others, whose selection was based on annual revenue for the past two years.

Strato says it is continuing “an upward trend” on the list due to sustained growth year over year. Global revenue increased 16% in 2019 from 2018, according to the NJBIZ report.

Manager of Marketing Services Kim Orozco attributes Strato’s growth to product line additions, including coupler assemblies and related parts. Strato manufactures airbrake hoses and components, freight and passenger car parts and castings and fabrications, and provides custom product design and engineering services.

“As a New Jersey private company serving the rail industry throughout North America, we are pleased to be among the top 100 companies in our state,” said Mike Foxx, Strato President and CEO.

The company first appeared on the NJBIZ list in 2016, coming in at No. 179.

In related news, TTX recently awarded Strato its Excellent Supplier Designation.
