Positive Train Control retrofits and complex locomotive upgrade programs are among the factors that “have put tremendous pressure on railroad drafting departments,” says ZTR Rail Division General Manager Matthew Scott. ZTR’s new Locomotive Schematic Update Service “is helping to take some of that load off.”

“ZTR has been a trusted schematic provider for select customers around the world for decades,” says Scott. “We are now offering the experience of our locomotive modernization experts to all rail businesses, which will be able to outsource PTC- and upgrade-related schematic drawing changes with our Locomotive Schematic Update Service.”

Scott says ZTR’s Locomotive Schematic Update Service “works with any schematic—paper or electronic—to give customers color-coded, searchable schematics with interactive features such as visual indexing, wire-running, and components lists.”

ZTR will be exhibiting at RSI/CMA in Montreal, Canada, September 21-23, Booth #401 and at InnoTrans in Berlin, Germany, September 23-26, Hall 6.2, Stand 509.
