Victoria County (Texas) Navigation District has selected TNW Corp. to provide rail operations for the Port of Victoria (POV) and to co-develop a planned multi-modal logistics facility.

POV, a shallow draft inland port, offers access to the Intracoastal Waterway and to Houston, San Antonio and Austin, via BNSF and Union Pacific. The POV North and South industrial sites are situated on more than 3,000 acres.

TNW’s “industry knowledge and resources in railroading and logistics will add significant value for our customers, who will be able to take advantage of transportation and service options as our Port grows and expands,” POV Executive Director Sean Stibich said.

“We are excited about the opportunity to assist in developing and growing this outstanding facility,” said Wade Hoffmann, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for TNW, a Dallas, Tex.-based operator of short lines and logistics centers. “We believe our alliance will increase business volumes and investment, resulting in new jobs and economic vitality in the region.”

In May, TNW expanded its railcar service offerings in partnership with The Andersons Rail Group.
