R.J. Corman Railroad Company is rebranding its transloading business as “Transload Connect,” and has signed on RSI Logistics to market the service and serve as a third-party operator at select locations.

Transload Connect, R.J. Corman said, provides customized service—from “a full-serve approach, where every asset throughout the process is provided, including specialized machinery, the use and access to railroad lines and technical experts, to a self-serve solution where the customer utilizes its teams and equipment combined with Transload Connect’s in a joint effort.”

It offers 22 transloading facilities across 11 states and a dedicated website.

“We are excited for the possibilities that Transload Connect and the partnership with [Okemos, Mich.-based] RSI Logistics might create for our customers’ future,” R.J. Corman AVP of Distribution Services Russ Epting said. “This rebranding and alliance enable us to provide tailor-made solutions to reach the maximum potential of our customers’ supply chain.”

“RSI Logistics, Inc. looks forward to working with the R.J. Corman team to expand and further develop their Transload Connect network,” RSI Logistics Vice President Kelley Minnehan said. “R.J. Corman’s 17 railroads are strategically located to add new growth to the transloading industry to add value to both the shippers and end customers. RSI’s diverse business acumen and industry leading rail management will be a significant value to R.J. Corman and Transload Connect. We look forward to growing this partnership to capitalize on many opportunities.”
