“[W]e are eager to get to work,” growing the River Ridge Commerce Center community, OmniTRAX CEO Dean Piacente said.

OmniTRAX has teamed with River Ridge Development Authority to further develop a southern Indiana industrial park that connects with CSX.

OmniTRAX will not only work on developing rail infrastructure, but also help attract employers to the area, who want to reach Midwest, Northeast and Southeast markets.

The 6,000-acre River Ridge Commerce Center is in Jeffersonville, Ind., part of the Louisville (Ky.) MSA (metropolitan statistical area) near I-64, I-65, and I-71; the Louisville International Airport; the Ohio River; and the Port of Indiana-Jeffersonville. Among the manufacturers and distributors located there are Amazon, A&R Logistics, GE Appliances, Medline and BOSE.

“Nationwide, our customers place high value on strategic locations and collaborative local partners, and the River Ridge Commerce Center delivers both,” said Dean Piacente, CEO of OmniTRAX, which offers rail, supply chain and logistics, and industrial development services, and is an affiliate of The Broe Group, a Denver, Colo.-based firm that directs a portfolio of real estate, transportation, energy and investment assets. “We are excited the park’s leadership and local officials selected OmniTRAX to help grow the community and we are eager to get to work.”

“CSX is focused on delivering efficient and reliable rail service across our far-reaching network to help customers cultivate and grow their businesses,” CSX Senior Vice President of Marketing Farrukh Bezar said. “We look forward to the opportunities the new partnership will present for existing and prospective rail customers to connect to a larger network and new markets.”
