For A&R Logistics, New Name, New Brand
Written by Marybeth Luczak, Executive EditorA&R Logistics, a Texas-based supply chain services company for the chemical industry, has unveiled a new name and logo: Quantix.
Quantix, “chemistry-inspired name that is a spin on ‘quantum,’” brings together all A&R Logistics companies into a single brand, the company reported on Sept. 8.
The rebranding effort retires all existing names including A&R Logistics, Blue Water Plastic Transport, Plantgistix, First Choice Logistics, L.T. Harnett Trucking, Inc., Luckey Trucking and RJ’s Transportation.
Quantix—owned by private equity firm Wind Point Partners since May 2019—offers a dry bulk transportation network featuring more than 2,300 pieces of specialized equipment; a liquid chemical transportation platform with more than 2,000 pieces of equipment; full-scale warehousing, rail distribution and inventory management via a national network of 33 facilities totaling more than 6 million square feet; export packaging capabilities with the capacity to handle more than 34,000 railcars of resin annually; and rail storage, in-plant services and ISO intermodal. The company also provides a 3PL solution.
“The rebrand to Quantix will continue to pay homage to A&R’s 50-year history during which we became a leader in this industry,” said Quantix President and CEO Chris Ball, who took on the leadership role in June, following Mark Holden’s retirement. “It’s that very legacy that propels us forward as we look to continue growing our capabilities and our footprint in service to our customers. We’re combining some of the industry’s most specialized and in-demand service offerings into one unified business, and it will make our company stronger and more scalable while simplifying operations for our customers.”
