CSX recently named TRAC Intermodal, the U.S.’s largest intermodal chassis pool manager and equipment supplier of domestic and international transportation companies, as a key supplier in the category of Customer Service Excellence & Partnership, for 2016.

TRAC was one of nine companies that CSX recognized in this category, and the only company representing the intermodal transportation sector.

CSX recognizes as key suppliers “companies that go the extra mile to help ensure the railroad’s success.” Suppliers were cited for going “above and beyond the value of a contract, investing in customer support and thinking of CSX needs.”

CSX’s requirements for being named a key supplier include achieving a reservation fulfillment rate above 99%; accommodating double-digit year-over-year load volume increase; seamlessly transitioning and sustaining more than 300 auto loads from Chicago to Detroit; and successfully adjusting to new spot market business when necessary.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized by CSX as a key supplier,” said TRAC Intermodal President and Chief Executive Officer Keith Lovetro. “We’ve worked collaboratively with the CSX team to continuously improve the quality and reliability of service we provide intermodal customers. I’d like to thank CSX for this award and their ongoing support.”

TRAC Intermodal’s active fleet consists of more than 267,000 chassis. The company has a broad operating footprint with more than 600 marine, 160 domestic and 60 depot locations across North America.
