Denver-based OmniTRAX is connecting properties along its Panhandle Northern Railroad (PNR) in Borger, Tex., with customers interested in locating there.

Through its Rail-Ready Sites program, OmniTRAX, the transportation affiliate of The Broe Group, is marketing two new properties in partnership with Borger, Inc., Borger’s economic development corporation. They include two buildings totaling 8,000 square feet on five acres and a 27-acre parcel ready for development.

The 31-mile PNR, a former Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe line, operates between Borger and Panhandle, where it connects with BNSF. The short line provides direct rail, rail-to-truck and truck-to-rail transloading, and inventory management services. It handles carbon black, liquid petroleum gas, chemicals, petroleum products, scrap metal, and fertilizer, among other commodities.

OmniTRAX Vice President of Economic Development Ean Johnson

“Texas continues to play an integral role in domestic manufacturing and supply chains, and these new Rail Ready Sites along the PNR provide tremendous opportunities for both operations,” OmniTRAX Vice President of Economic Development Ean Johnson said. “We are pleased to partner with Borger, Inc., to attract new companies to the Panhandle.”
