Denver-based OmniTRAX is linking with customers interested in locating in Sand Springs, Okla.

Through its Rail-Ready Sites program, OmniTRAX, an affiliate of The Broe Group, is teaming with the city to market two initial properties—totaling about 25 acres—along its 32-mile Sand Springs Railway (SS).

SS operates between Sand Springs and Tulsa, and connects with Union Pacific (UP) and BNSF. It provides rail services to shippers with direct rail, rail-to-truck and truck-to-rail transloading, bulk transfer/distribution and inventory management services. The area includes companies in the steel-, advanced manufacturing- and energy-related industries.

“With great infrastructure connecting most of the Midwest in a few days, companies locating in Sand Springs can get their products to market more effectively than most areas of the country,” OmniTRAX Vice President of Industrial Development Ean Johnson said. “We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the City of Sand Springs to help bring jobs and economic growth to the region.”

In related news, OmniTRAX announced its partnership with the City of Washington (Ga.) Economic Development office to connect customers along its Georgia Woodlands Railroad (GWRC).
