The R.J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC has promoted Justin Broyles to Executive Vice President, Commercial Affairs.

Broyles has overseen all commercial activity, including managing the marketing and sales teams, for the R.J. Corman short lines and Storm Team since 2018. While he will continue to lead those commercial efforts, Broyles will also be responsible for all Class I corporate relations for the R.J. Corman companies.

Broyles rejoined R.J. Corman in 2018 after serving for three years as Chief Commercial Officer for Patriot Rail. A 20-year railroader, he has held increasingly progressive commercial and business development roles in rail-related services such as emergency response and railroad construction, storm response, and national account management.

“Justin’s experience in the railroad industry, specifically in transportation and rail-related services, his strong network, and the results he has been able to deliver make him a natural to lead the R.J. Corman commercial efforts and our strategic alliances with our Class I partners,” R.J. Corman Railroad Group President and CEO Ed Quinn said.

In other developments, the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association recently recognized R.J. Corman with a 2021 Business Development Award.

Additionally, R.J. Corman appointed Ronald L. (Ron) Batory, former FRA Administrator, to the Board of Directors on Feb. 1.
