Denver, Colo.-based infrastructure company Rocky Mountain Industrials, Inc. (RMI) announced April 10 that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Patriot Rail Company LLC to provide operational and rail-related services to customers within the new Rocky Mountain Rail Park.

Rail service at the Rocky Mountain Rail Park, which is comprised of approximately 620 acres and located next to the Colorado Air and Space Port in Adams County along the greater Denver area I-70 growth corridor and features direct interchange with Union Pacific (UP), is anticipated to begin in late 2023.

The development platform, with 15 miles of track within Rocky Mountain Rail Park’s manifest and unit-train rail infrastructure at full buildout, RMI says, is designed to host industrial users via large land parcels, robust rail infrastructure, heavy industrial zoning, and advantageous proximity to the Denver Metro area.

“The RMI team is pleased that Patriot Rail will provide service within the Rocky Mountain Rail Park,” said RMI CEO Brian Fallin. “Patriot Rail holds safety as its cornerstone value, and Patriot’s class-leading commitment to exceptional customer service is an integral component of our vision for the Rail Park.”

“We are excited to partner with RMI to deliver competitive, top-tier service to the shippers locating at Rocky Mountain Rail Park,” said Patriot Rail President and CEO John Fenton. “We look forward to providing premier freight rail service options to customers at this world-class facility in the dynamic and accelerating Denver region.”
