OmniTRAX: ‘Rail Ready’ in Alabama

Through its Rail-Ready Sites program, OmniTRAX is marketing six properties along ATN in partnership with Marshall County (Ala.) EDC and Gadsden-Etowah IDA.
Denver-based OmniTRAX is linking properties along its Alabama and Tennessee River Railway, LLC (ATN), with customers interested in locating in one of five counties between Birmingham and Guntersville, Ala.
Through its Rail-Ready Sites program, OmniTRAX, the logistics and transportation affiliate of The Broe Group, is marketing six properties in partnership with Marshall County Economic Development Corp. and Gadsden-Etowah Industrial Development Authority.
The 121-mile ATN runs from Birmingham (where it connects with CSX at Boyles Yard) through Alabama City (where it connects with Norfolk Southern) to the rail barge terminal at the Port of Guntersville. The short line provides transloading, railcar repair and storage, and industrial switching services. It handles liquid and dry bulk, pipe, plastics, and construction products.
