Denver-based OmniTRAX is linking rail-served properties along its 16-mile Georgia Woodlands Railroad (GWRC) with customers interested in locating in the Washington, Ga., area.
Through its Rail-Ready Sites program, OmniTRAX, an affiliate of The Broe Group, is partnering with the City of Washington Economic Development office to market three initial properties—ranging from 19 to 59 acres—that can be combined into one site along the GWRC.
The short line interchanges with CSX in Barnett, Ga., and provides regional logistics services, including bulk transfer distribution and railcar storage. It transports commodities such as plastic pellets, wood chips, lumber, lumber products and petroleum gases.
“With great infrastructure that includes some of the fastest broadband in rural Georgia, Washington is a great location for a wide variety of companies, particularly those related to the timber industry,” OmniTRAX Director of Industrial Development Justin Strickland said.
