LIRC promotes Kramer to VP Transportation

Jeremy Kramer

Jeremy Kramer has been promoted to Vice President Transportation at Louisville & Indiana Railroad (LIRC). He will be responsible for train operations, dispatching, locomotive maintenance and Clagg Bridge operations.

Kramer joined LIRC, Railway Age’s 2019 Short Line of the Year, in 2014, and prior to promotion was Director of Transportation. Prior to joining LIRC, he was with CN, where he held multiple positions, most recently Assistant Superintendent Chicago Division.

At LIRC, an Anacostia Rail Holdings company, Kramer’s efforts have been recognized multiple times. In 2018, he was named American Short Line & Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) Safety Person of the Year.

Kramer was also a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, where he deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 and served as a Senior Advisor on Railroad Operations.

Kramer holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University.
