Louisville & Indiana Railroad Company (LIRC) is a 2022 Military Friendly® Employer; this is the second consecutive year LIRC has received the designation.

To earn Military Friendly® Employer designation, companies must invest in substantive programs to recruit, retain and advance veterans within their organizations. They are evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,000 companies participated in the 2022 survey.

“The Louisville & Indiana Railroad Company is very proud to support our veterans,” said John Goldman, President of the 106-mile LIRC, a subsidiary of Anacostia Rail Holdings Company and Railway Age’s 2019 Short Line of the Year. “Whether by making veteran hires a priority or supporting them in the community, we owe them a debt of gratitude for their service. LIRC is lucky to have veterans employed in various roles throughout our organization and look forward to continue supporting military veterans.”

“Companies earning the Military Friendly Employers® designation create and elevate the standard for military programs across the globe,” said Kayla Lopez, Director of Military Partnerships for Military Friendly®.
