Caffari Stepping Down From R.J. Corman Board

Yvan Caffari, outgoing member of the R.J. Corman Railroad Group Board of Directors

Yvan Caffari is retiring from the R.J. Corman Railroad Group Board of Directors following 15 years of service.

Caffari joined the Board of Nicholasville, Ky.-based R.J. Corman Railroad Group in 2006. A railroad industry veteran, he began work for Swiss railroad maintenance equipment manufacturer MATISA in 1969. More recently, he was Vice President of Marketing, and upon retirement, he was named President of the MATISA Pension Fund, a role he held until May 2006. Caffari also served on the Executive Committee of Swissrail, including two years as President.

Mr. Caffari is not only an esteemed and admired leader and seasoned veteran of the railroad industry but an integral part of R.J. Corman’s history. We wish him the best for this well-deserved retirement.”

In related developments, R.J. Corman announced in January the launch of its 18th short line: Knoxville and Cumberland Gap Railroad, LLC (KXCG).
