At Railway Age’s Eighth Annual Rail Insights Conference, to be held virtually June 23, Watco Companies Chief Executive Officer Dan Smith will speak about what all railroads need to do to become an indispensable part of the freight transportation supply chain.

Railway Age Editor-in-Chief William C. Vantuono will engage in a “Fireside Chat” style conversation with Smith, who leads one of North America’s largest short line and regional railroad holding companies. The company is a leader in customer service, business development, logistics and connectivity with the broader North American freight rail system.

Their conversation is just one part of the Rail Insights 2022 Conference, which will explore what is affecting business growth, capital investment, technology, regulation, service quality and safety in the North American rail market—freight and passenger.
