Lamphere, Smith Join Next-Gen Freight Rail Agenda

MidRail LLC Chairman Gil Lamphere and Watco CEO Dan Smith are joining an expert panel sharing growth strategies at Railway Age’s Next-Gen Freight Rail 2021, to be held virtually March 10.

Lamphere (left) is set to address “Growth Through Precision Railroading,” and Smith (right) will focus on “Integrated Transportation Services.”

Created for logistics and supply chain professionals across business development, client relations, sales, finance, planning, and infrastructure, Next-Gen Freight Rail 2021 will help attendees take advantage of growth by leveraging resources and expanding capacity.

Keynote speaker and Union Pacific Chairman, President and CEO Lance Fritz will present “Smart Capital Investment Strategies.”

The other headliners are:

Keith Creel, President and CEO of Canadian Pacific (CP) and Railway Age’s 2021 Railroader of the Year, covering “Growing the Top Line.”

• Pat Ottensmeyer, President and CEO of Kansas City Southern (KCS) and Railway Age’s 2020 Railroader of the Year, discussing “Maximizing USMCA for Cross-Border Growth.”

Jason Seidl, Cowen and Company Managing Director and Railway Age Wall Street Contributing Editor, addressing “Growth, the Investment Perspective.”

Railway Age Editor-in-Chief William C. Vantuono will serve as moderator.
