The National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel (NARTC) installed David A. Damico, of Pittsburgh-based Burns White LLC, as President during its annual conference on July 29 in Chicago.

With more than 900 members, NARTC includes railroad trial and in-house attorneys from the U.S. and Canada. The organization’s mission is “to provide educational and social avenues for members to learn about issues that affect the rail industry and their craft as railroad trial lawyers.”

Damico brings more than 30 years of railroad trial experience to NARTC. He has represented Class I, regional, and short line railroads, serves as National Trial Counsel to multiple railroad companies, and “has a keen understanding of the challenges facing the railroad industry,” the association said

“It is an honor to be selected to serve as president of this respected organization and represent its members,” said Damico. “I look forward to working with my peers—some of the best lawyers in the railroad industry—to advance NARTC’s mission in the coming year.”
