Collins joins Stantec Chicago office

Charles R. Collins III, P.E., has joined Stantec’s Chicago office as a Senior Rail Engineer.
“With more than 20 years of experience, Collins utilizes his skills as a former rail dispatcher to bring operational insights to past rail projects such as the Norfolk Southern Rickenbacker Intermodal Yard in Ohio, the Chicago Transit Authority’s Capital Improvement Program, and Amtrak’s Baltimore & Potomac tunnel upgrade in Baltimore,” the company said. “He is skilled in rail operations, track layout and design, conceptual alignments and assessments of ridership models and forecasts. The addition of Collins continues to strengthen Stantec’s railway engineering team in the Midwest and will allow Stantec to provide a higher level of service to railroad clients across the country.”
Stantec is a global design, engineering and project management firm doing business in many markets, among them freight rail and rail transit.
