Toyota Logistics Services likes going places with UP

Toyota, whose advertising slogan is “Let’s Go Places,” is able to depend upon the railroads for the places its motor vehicles need to go. In recognition, Toyota Logistics Services has awarded Union Pacific 2014 Logistics Excellence Awards in Customer Service and Service Performance.

This marks the seventh consecutive year UP has earned Toyota’s Excellence in Customer Service recognition for superior performance, and the fourth time in the past six years that the railroad has received the Service Performance award.

“The awards are based on Union Pacific’s commitment to outstanding service, ranging from customized logistics offerings to a solid supply of equipment when and where it’s needed,” said UP Vice President and General Manager-Automotive Linda Brandl. “Our employees take great pride in Toyota’s recognition, which reflects unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. It’s our honor to serve Toyota, leveraging Union Pacific’s premier railroad franchise to deliver innovative transportation solutions.”

Toyota Logistics Services recognizes outstanding performance of all logistics suppliers, including truck, marine and railroad companies. Its customer service and service performance awards consider communication, equipment supply, transit performance, responsiveness, collaboration, business controls and overall ease of doing business.
