The Association of American Railroads Associate Advisory Board has selected Joseph W. Palese from Harsco Rail to serve out the remainder of the term of a vacant seat on the TTCI Research Advisory Board. Palese’s term of service will last until Jan. 1, 2014.

“The TTCI Research Advisory Board’s mission is to provide feedback to TTCI on the AAR’s Strategic Research program and to provide advice on how TTCI can best serve the AAR’s Railroad Affiliate Members and Associate Members,” AAR said. “Looking ahead, the annual nominating period for Associate Member Representatives on AAR Committees will begin in November. More information will be sent to Gold Associate Members in advance of the official opening of nominations.”

In a related development, Ronsco Inc. has joined the AAR as a new Gold Associate Member. Ronsco, founded in 1968, is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. Its services include the manufacturing of railway axles and transit tie plates; the repair and re-manufacture of locomotives, passenger cars, and freight cars; and distribution services. Ronsco also provides consulting services and training services through its subsidiary, AllRail.
