EVP, CIO, CTO Foster Leaves CN

CN recently announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Technology Officer Michael Foster is leaving the company on Nov. 29, 2019, “for personal reasons and moving back to the U.S. to be close to his family and to pursue other career opportunities.”

CN Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rob Reilly will assume interim responsibility for the Information and Technology function, while the company carries out a global search for a Chief Information and Technology Officer.

Reilly, CN noted, “gained leadership and innovation experience in rail operations and field application of rail technologies at BNSF, at which he worked for 30 years in a variety of roles. He will continue to aim to deliver on operational excellence and the implementation of advanced information technologies as a driver for safety, customer and shareholder value, and the company’s strategy to enhance its scheduled railroading model.”
