Chattanooga, Tenn.-based railroad equipment supplier Bohr Electronics announced Dec. 6 that it has been awarded multiple million-dollar contracts to supply fully furnished electrical cabinets for Class I railroad operators’ locomotive rebuild programs beginning in 2024. Details of the clients remain confidential.

According to Bohr Electronics, the contracts involve complete electrical cabinet rebuilds, which include installing new equipment, refurbished components, and control and power cabling into new or rebuilt cabinet shells.

Bohr Electronics’ electrical cabinets, the company says, “are designed to safeguard sensitive components and systems from environmental challenges, vibration, shock, and overcurrent.” These products meet and exceed original OEM specifications and adhere to ISO 9001:2015 and AAR M-1003 standards, the company adds.

“We are honored to be chosen for these significant projects,” said Bohr Electronics CEO Dan Marks. “These contracts are a testament to our team’s expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality products. They also strategically position Bohr Electronics for further growth and strengthen our reputation as a key player in the rail industry, setting a solid foundation for future partnerships and opportunities.”
