AllTranstek L.L.C. has added Tax & Audit Services to its fleet management offerings, and has named industry veteran John Hoyt as Manager of the newly created service. The company said it created the new service “to respond to the growing demand for assistance in the highly specialized areas of monitoring tax code changes, ad valorem tax compliance and assessment reviews.”

“Tax & Audit Services was created to assist clients with the growing complexity in managing the financial reporting process for state and local taxing jurisdictions and improving cash flow,” the company said. “John Hoyt’s role will be offering tax management and assessments tailored specifically to each customer’s fleet of railcars.”

Hoyt began his railroad career with TTX Co. in 1979. His responsibilities included managing and negotiating Ad Valorem, Income and Sales & Use Taxes. Following TTX, he worked for consulting firms where he expanded his knowledge to include the broader transportation industry.

“At AllTranstek, we are continually striving to better assist our customers with the fundamental requirements of rail car ownership. By providing in-house tax and audit services, we can more effectively serve our customer base with all aspects of rail car fleet management,” said Jeff Wilson, President.

AllTranstek provides railcar fleet management services and tank car technical expertise, and manages more than 275,000 railcars of all types for some of North America’s largest companies. AllTranstek’s Technical Services group provides technical and operational support to the rail equipment supply chain, including field inspections, engineering, regulatory compliance, NDT Level III, NDT training and welding support. AllTranstek’s Strategic Services group offers market research, analytics, forecasting and strategic consulting services to the rail supply chain sector.
