RT&S magazine redesign debuts

Written by Douglas John Bowen

Railway Age sister publication Railway Track & Structures launched a redesign with its March 2012 issue. The new look is designed to better reflect the progression and energy of the rail industry. RT&S has been redesigned to be more contemporary and easier to read.

Open layouts, bold use of color, and a feature section that has moved closer to the front of the book help with fluid navigation through the monthly issue.

The biggest change is the release of a new logo, which sticks with a more modern feel but still gives a sense of movement.

What hasn’t changed with this redesign is RT&S‘ commitment to producing a quality railroad engineering publication with news that is essential to the work performed out on track every day.

The print magazine’s redesign is the first of several changes the publication is taking on this year. Up next will be a reorganization and relaunch of the RT&S website. An e-newsletter dedicated to rail engineering news, RT&S Rail Brief, will launch in April.
