Colleen Leonardo has joined Railway Equipment Company (RECo) as Northern Regional Sales Manager, with responsibility for customers in the company’s Northern service regions. She will be based in Tottenham, Ontario, Canada.

Leonardo has been employed in the rail industry since 2011, when she joined Toronto Terminals Railway. Her career path has taken her to PNR Railworks and WSP | MMM Group, where she held positions in project coordination and administration. Prior to joining RECo, she was a Project Coordinator for PNR’s USRC (Union Station Rail Corridor) Project in Toronto, a design-build contract that involved upgrading and replacing a legacy signaling system, including signals, track circuits and cables, and installing new solid state interlockings and control equipment. Her primary responsibilities included financial reporting, material/subcontractor procurement, material tracking and contract administration.

“Colleen brings a depth of industry expertise and will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and creating custom solutions for our diverse customer base,” said RECo Vice President Joseph Ashley. “We have growth opportunities in the region, and we knew we needed to add to our sales resources. Colleen was the ideal candidate for the position as she is skilled in customer service and project management specific to the rail industry. She has a proven track record of success in sales and support within the rail industry.”

Railway Equipment Company manufactures a complete line of Snow Clearing Devices, Crossing Gate Arms and Lamps, Battery Chargers, and Remote Asset Monitoring & Control Systems.
