Worldwide rail infrastructure and maintenance firm Harsco Rail, a division of Harsco Corp., will move all its technology products and services under the Protran Technology brand, including Zeta Tech, the company announced on July 22, 2015.

Harsco Rail “provides high quality rail consulting services, cutting-edge technological solutions, and individual analysis plans that give railroads the ability to inspect, analyze and predict maintenance on their track,” the company said. “These products and services will now wrap under the Protran Technology business line, within Harsco Rail. Protran’s safety systems are a natural and invaluable extension of Harsco Rail’s existing suite of intelligent solutions. Protran acts as a secondary line of defense against potential human error, warning equipment operators of hazards before they become accidents.”

Harsco Rail said it “plans to expand on this business line with other technological products and services to advance technology in the railway industry overall.” Zeta Tech, acquired by Harsco Rail in 2007, will maintain its current offices and contact numbers in Cherry Hill, N.J.

“Protran Technology is a leading technology provider in the railway industry,” said Senior Director Jim Resio. “The merging of Harsco Rail’s technology products and services with these safety products will create a significant advantage for our positioning and our customers in the rail market.”
