The Fort Worth & Western Railroad (FWWR) is the most recent short line to contract with Herzog Technologies, Inc. (HTI) for PTC Hosting services.

“PTC Hosting services allows FWWR to simplify and accelerate its PTC implementation in meeting the [Dec. 31, 2018] mandated PTC deadline and to be interoperable with FWWR host railroads,” HTI said. “FWWR views its investment in PTC as a commitment to the safety of its employees, its customers and the communities it serves.” Based in Fort Worth, Tex., FWWR is a Class III railroad operating under its parent company, Tarantula Corp. Formed in 1988, FWWR currently operates more than 276 miles of track through 8 counties in North Central Texas.

HTI, a subsidiary of Herzog Contracting Corp, is a supplier of PTC-related services and software, including system integration, survey and data management, and back office software. HTI also provides signal and communication services.
