Wi-Tronix appoints Semple “Down Under” Director

Veteran railway engineering professional Dave Semple will join Wi-Tronix LLC as Director – Wi-Tronix Australia/New Zealand on March 4. Based in Sydney, Australia, Semple will lead the region’s market strategy and execution as Wi-Tronix continues to build a global client base.

Semple received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and a Master’s in Management from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, Canada and an International Engineer under the International Professional Engineers Agreement (IPEA). With more than 40 years of experience with locomotives and passenger trains, his experience includes sales, engineering, manufacturing, testing, commissioning and through-life support of rolling stock. Semple started his professional career in Canada and has led engineering development projects in Australia, Canada, China and the U.S. He has worked in Australia for the past 10 years at Downer EDI Rail and Progress Rail, and most recently as Manager of Locomotive Technologies at LTK Australia.
