Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis (TRRA)—Railway Age’s 2020 Short Line of the Year—has selected CloudMoyo Crew Management (CCM) technology for implementation across all locations “in an effort to ensure better crew availability, intelligent rostering and lowered costs with better crew utilization.”

“The next-generation, cloud-based CCM solution leverages the scale of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and harnesses the power of advanced AI and analytics to optimize crew boards,” CloudMoyo said. “Sophisticated algorithms factor in crew eligibility, qualifications and certifications, hours of service (HOS), duty hour compliance, crew penalties and bidding rules, as well as records and vacation requests. The CCM solution will streamline crew operations and optimize crew costs by intelligently boosting crew utilization to more than 85%.”

“With the adoption of modern, cloud-based digital technologies, TRRA is well-positioned to manage its business growth,” said TRRA CEO Mike McCarthy. “The next-generation CCM solution will substantially improve our capability to handle increasing car switching volumes, improve on-time arrivals and optimize crew allocations. We expect enhanced agility of the new integrated system along with a seamless user experience on mobile devices to clearly improve the operational efficiencies of our crew processes by over 90%. Combined with the CloudMoyo Operational Testing System (OTS), the new CCM deployment is expected to transform workforce scheduling and safety while ensuring FRA compliance at TRRA.”

“We are excited that TRRA has selected us again as the partner of choice for delivering on their vision of an automated crew scheduling and intelligent rostering solution for their fast-growing operations,” said CloudMoyo Co-founder and CEO Manish Kedia. “We are invested in our customers’ success and look forward to supporting TRRA’s business growth with streamlined crew operations while ensuring seamless compliance with regulations and union rules.”
