Intelligent fuel saver
To save fuel, reduce emissions, and decrease environmental noise, GE Transportation Systems offers the Intelligent Fuel Saver/Auto Engine Start Stop system to shut down idling locomotives automatically. Shutdown and startup parameters can be customized.
Electric parking brake
GE Transportation Systems offers an electric parking brake that replaces current handbrake wheel or ratchet assemblies with a motor-driven linear actuator. The actuator allows an operator to set the parking brake at a preset force, ensuring consistent braking application. This feature eliminates manual hand cranking.
Maintenance lift for transit cars
Pentalift Equipment Corporation's maintenance lift raises and lowers rapid transit cars to facilitate scheduled maintenance. Among the lift's features to ensure stability and safe operation are a 54-foot-long tri-pantograph design, a triple pump design, and an interlocked hydraulic system monitor. An override system permits users to raise or lower the table manually if an electrical power source failure occurs.
