Intermodal car scissor lift table

Railquip's 50-ton Hydraulic Intermodal Car Scissor Lift Table can be operated remotely or via a mounted control panel. Equipped with a Honda engine and hydraulic tank, the portable lift table can be moved easily with a 10,000-pound forklift truck. Additionally, the table's short turning radius allows users to view all moving parts while standing on one side of the car, making it safe to operate. A jack, with an optional wheel handling device, uses the railbed for support, permitting table use anywhere in a yard with forklift access.

Emergency spill containment

The HAZ-HAMMOCK™ from Trans Environmental Systems, Inc., is a portable, foldable, spill collection system with tapered sidewalls to retain up to 50 gallons of liquid. Fabricated from polypropylene, the unit is resistant to nearly all acids, caustics, and most-commonly transported solvents and reactants. The HAZ-HAMMOCK's five web belts allow an installer to quickly position and facilitate attachment of the unit under the leaking vessel. When bagged for storage, the folded device weighs 15 pounds.

Monitoring device

Digitize, Inc., offers the microprocessor-based System 3500C to continuously monitor and report the status of signaling, track control, and power distribution in light and heavy rail applications. The system shows control center users traffic situations in real time and allows them to command signals and switches remotely. Since System 3500C can run on two pairs of telephone lines (a primary and a secondary), fiberoptics, a radio, or TCP/IP hook-up, it can function in stand-alone mode, with a host computer, or as part of a network.
