Spokespersons for VIA Rail Canada said Thursday the railroad this spring will offer the capability for passengers to stream live videos on their laptops, smart phone, or tablet.

The new on-board entertainment will be provided to passengers on VIA Rail's Quebec City- Windsor corridor services, complementing VIA Rail's Wi-Fi already in place.

In partnership with CBC/Radio-Canada and the National Film Board, Canada's intercity passenge railroad will also allow passengers to view Canadian TV shows and news broadcasts. On-board shows, in French and English, includes free CBC programming, animated and documentary movies from the National Film Board of Canada, and the Heritage Minute series of short films on Canadian history.
