Metro Transit says February monthly ridership rose 13.7% compared with February 2012, with ridership showing strength on bad-weather days.
Besides the opening of the Ramsey Station, reduced fares, in effect since Aug. 1, also have contributed to ridership gains, Metro Transit says.
The 41-mile Northstar Line opened in November 2009, and currently operates from Big Lake, Minn., to Target Field in Minneapolis, where it interfaces with Hiawatha Line light rail transit service.
