Products and services that meet Bombardier's high environmental and safety standards further Bombardier's competitive advantage in a market evolving towards more sustainable business practices and strengthen the company's aim to shape the future of mobility, responsibly, the company said.
All Bombardier's Master Vendors who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to good governance, ethical values, respect for employees, and the environment were invited to apply for Sustainable Suppliers' Awards. The evaluation process of the Bombardier jury focused on proactive initiatives, product innovation, social integrity, and environmental stewardship, as these elements provide added value to their business.
Bombardier said Infineon was honored in the category of suppliers with more than 500 employees for its environmental product stewardship and transparency in material and resource declaration. Willowglen received the award in the category of suppliers with less than 500 employees for excellence in product safety innovation as well as for academic and societal engagement guided by a strong CSR spirit.
The awards were presented by Me Daniel Desjardins, senior vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary, and CSR committee chairman, Bombardier Inc., and Charles O'Donnell, chief procurement lfficer, Bombardier Transportation, during the Suppliers' Days at the company's headquarters in Berlin, Germany.
