Wabtec Corp.'s Wabtec Passenger Transit unit in Spartanburg, S.C., has received International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS) Certification from UNIFE, the Association of the European Rail Industry. The certification, based on ISO 9001, was created to establish global quality standards for the rail industry. IRIS certification is intended to promote overall quality improvementand customer satisfaction by establishing consistent standards andprocesses.
