Engineering, architectural, planning, and construction management firm STV, Inc.  has launched STV Canada Consulting Inc. to provide services to the Canadian market. In Toronto, the company has established its first Canadian office, which will initially serve the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC).

TTC recently awarded STV a 10-year, $125 million program management contract to assist in oversight of the Transit City Light Rail Transit Program. STV’s role includes providing professional services as required by TTC to plan, assess, direct, control, resolve, oversee, and communicate program objectives. In addition to the TTC project, STV has an engineering services contract with Agence Metropolitaine de Transport (AMT) in Montreal for procurement of commuter rail coaches and dual-powered locomotives. AMT and New Jersey Transit, with STV, collaborated on specifications for the diesel/a.c. catenary locomotive; Bombardier was awarded the contract in late 2008.
