Railinc has renewed its long-term relationship with Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS) with a three-year, $14 million contract for outsourced information technology services.

ACS has been providing several IT technology infrastructure services to Railinc since 2002. Under the renewed contract, ACS will continue to provide network operational services and midrange and mainframe system operations services from its data centers. In addition, ACS will continue to provide disaster recovery/business continuity and testing services for Railinc’s midrange and mainframe systems. This includes a designated hot site, ensuring that Railinc’s critical operations remain up and running pending a disaster.

“ACS has been a trusted partner while being flexible and responsive to our evolving business priorities,” said Todd Bolon, vice president and chief information officer for Railinc. “This enables Railinc to focus on creating value for our customers by providing innovative and reliable information-based products and services.”

“This contract is a testament to the strong business relationship we have built with Railinc during the past six years,” said Derrell James, executive vice president and group president, ACS IT Outsourcing Solutions. “We understand their business and their commitment to maintaining high system performance. By managing and maintaining their information systems and providing disaster recovery services, ACS enables Railinc to meet critical customer needs.”
