Primoris wins Freeport rail project

Primoris wins Freeport rail project Port of Freeport, Texas

Primoris Services Corp. announced a new Texas port project valued at over $21 million. The contract was secured by Primoris Heavy Civil, part of the Civil segment.

The project was awarded by Port Freeport in Freeport, Texas.

The project is for the construction of a rail spur and track yard that includes 21,000 linear feet of track, associated paving, and drainage improvements. The spur will tie into an existing Union Pacific line and service an ongoing expansion at Port Freeport.

The company, based in Dallas, said Primoris Heavy Civil is pursuing additional project opportunities as part of the expansion at Port Freeport.

Work is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2017, and completion is expected in the second quarter of 2018.
