NEARS, Pittsburgh, draws near

The Northeast Association of Rail Shippers (NEARS) has set the agenda for its Fall Meeting in Pittsburgh, Pa., Sept. 26-28, 2017.

Among the featured speakers:

• Fiona Murray, Vice President Industrial Products, CN.

• Matthew Menner, Senior Vice President, Sales & Alliances, Transplace.

• Michael Rutherford, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Industrial Products, CSX Transportation.

• Robert Callahan, CEO, Ashtabula, Carson & Jefferson Railroad.

• Michael Lyons, EVP and Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking at The PNC Financial Services Group.

• Jim Plunkett, Director Rail Transportation, TMS International.

• Drew Nelson, Vice President Marketing & Sales, Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad.

• Dean Piacente, Vice President Intermodal Business Unit, CSX Transportation.

The meeting incorporates family participation through the NEARS Friends and Family Program. “Not only do those who come have access to the NEARS two breakfasts, lunch on Wednesday, dinner on Wednesday, and the two Networking Receptions, we also are working on a great outing for Wednesday afternoon,” the organization says. “This is all included in the Friends and Family Program price of $150 per person. As well, the golf outing at Meadowink Golf Course, Murrysville, Pa., at $99 per person, includes cart, food and beverages.”
