Glines joins Eta Phi Systems

Eta Phi Systems, Inc.  has appointed Robert H. Glines Director,  Business Development, Canandaigua, N.Y.

bob-glines.jpgGlines has 31 years in the high tech transit industry, having held senior level positions for transportation systems and engineering companies General Railway Signaling, ALSTOM Signaling, PB T&RS, Gannett Fleming T&RS, and Rail Transit Systems, Inc.. His transit industry relationships span North America, Western Europe, and Japan. His projects have involved bus information, train control, microwave, public safety communications, high speed rail, driverless transit, SCADA, CBTC, and special automation systems for mining operations.

He has been responsible for government and industrial relations and has held leadership positions with industry associations, serving as a director on the APTA board, a member of APTA's Business Member Board of Governors for 22 years, RPI Vice-Chairman for Passenger Transportation for 13 years. He was a charter member of the High Speed Rail Association. Glines holds the Wilmer W. Salmon Award for his contributions.

While the majority of his success has been in the technical business development arena, Glines also brings success in application engineering, design, and installation. His expertise stretches across a continuum from application engineering to business development. He has provided strategic planning services, proposal management and project management for over 26 major projects in a wide spectrum of emerging technologies in the electronic communications and control systems arena.
