Bombardier signs $431 million contract with Berlin

Bombardier Transportation announced that it will supply 99 trams to operating company Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) under a contract valued at  $431 million.

Germany's capital city in 2006 entered into a framework agreement with Bombardier Transportation, which is based in Berlin, to supply up to 210 vehicles. The new order comes under that agreement.

The first vehicles are scheduled to be delivered in May 2011, with the order to be completed in 2017.
