EMD SD70M-2 and GE ES44DC and recently rebuilt GP38-2 locomotives," the company said. CN will continue to use Wi-Tronix's Wi-Tracker™ to maximize both locomotive asset utilization and fuel efficiency.

Wi-Tracker offers statistics on utilization, engine shut down and

duty cycle, fuel monitoring, locomotive fault and exception-based alerting, and geo-mapping, among other services. In addition, Wi-DownloadER provides remote access to download locomotive on-board data from any locomotive, any time, at any location, the company says.
