FreightCar America names Klamar vp-sourcing

FreightCar America, Inc. said Tuesday it has named Jeffrey Klamar vice president, sourcing. Klamar will be based at FreightCar America's Chicago headquarters.

Klamar will be responsible for leading the full scope of FCA's sourcing activities, including direct materials, operating supplies and capital improvements. He will serve as FreightCar America's sourcing strategist and will create a supply chain to support FCA's long-term domestic and international business objectives.

Klamar joins FreightCar America from CNH Global N.V. (Case New Holland), a worldwide provider of agricultural and construction equipment. In his most recent role, he was materials management director at CNH Parts & Service. Prior to his tenure at CNH, he served as sourcing leader for GE Transportation and also was materials manager for its rail repair service business.

FreightCar America Vice-President Operations Terry Heidkamp said, "We are pleased that Jeff has agreed to join our company. His extensive international sourcing experience within the rail industry and with global heavy equipment manufacturers will enable us to improve the performance of our supply chain. In addition, his strong leadership skills will help us to grow and achieve our strategic objectives."
