Car deliveries in the second quarter of 17,927 were up 6.6% from the 16,816 units in the first quarter, and ahead of the 16,693 deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2011.
ARCI said the railcar backlog at the end of the second quarter was 58,674 units, compared with 60,191 units at the end of the first quarater and 64,575 units at the end of the 2011.
