TranSystems’ Santeford promoted to partner TranSystems

TranSystems has promoted Matthew Santeford, of the firm’s Schaumburg, Ill., office to assistant vice president and senior professional partner.

The Chicago-based firm said Santeford has 15 years of extensive professional structural experience in design and management of concrete and steel structures for highway, railroad and mass transit projects across the Midwest, including working on Chicago’s Jane Byrne (Circle) Interchange.

As a nominee for senior professional, he was measured on specialized subject matter expertise. His promotion is part of an annual process determined by the firm’s partner performance and development committee, a committee formed in 2003 to refine the company’s leadership development standards by identifying a process for selecting future leaders and owners.

Santeford holds a Master of Science in structural engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He is an active member of the American Public Works Association, the American Railway Engineering & Maintenance of Way Association and the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois.
