IndustryWeek has selected L.B. Foster Co.'s CXT® Concrete Ties facility in Spokane, Wash., as a finalist in the magazine's 2012 Best Plants Award for Excellence in Manufacturing competition.

The Pittsburgh-based company said IndustryWeek noted "a dedication to continuous improvement and customer service" in the high capacity tie facility. This is the second year in a row that IndustryWeek has shortlisted an L.B. Foster plant in the competition.

"My congratulations go out to Plant Manager Tim Carden and our entire Spokane team for this extraordinary recognition of their efforts in creating a successful world-class manufacturing facility," said Robert Bauer, L.B. Foster president and CEO.
