The new orders, all for delivery this year and into early 2013, will serve customers in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, the company said. The orders cover a range of Harsco Rail equipment designed and developed expressly for track surfacing operations, including Mark VI ballast tampers, ballast regulators, and track stabilizers.

The orders "add to a growing list of orders in Harsco Rail's 2012/2013 production pipeline that reflect the division's increasingly broad North American and global customer base," the company said. Harsco did not identify the customers involved.
