The 100% recycled ties will be produced at Axion's Waco, Tex., plant, which also has supplied ties for Trinity Railway Express right-of-way between Dallas and Fort Worth, Tex.
The ties include recycled plastic and fiberglass, and are produced without chemicals, Axion says, while being "completely resistant to outdoor elements."
